The organization originated from the saving bank of the city ((イタリア語:Cassa di Risparmio di Reggio Emilia)) found by Pietro Manodori. ==Origins== The foundation was originated from the saving bank of the city, found 1852 by Pietro Manodori, the president of local mount of piety (found circa 1494). Due to Legge Amato, the daily bank operation and ownership were split into a società per azioni and a bank foundation in 1991. The bank was merged into Bipop Carire in 1999 and completely vanished in 2008. Cassa di Risparmio di Parma e Piacenza was a minority shareholder of the bank but was sold in 1999 in favor of the merger of both Bipop Carire as well as C.R.Parma e Piacenza to Banca Intesa.
